Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu kicks off six-day visit to India
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday reached New Delhi as part of his six-day long visit to india. He received a warm welcome from his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi at Delhi airport.
Netanyahu is the first Israeli prime minister to visit india after Ariel Sharon who visited in 2003.
“A special welcome for a special visit… Modi personally receives Israeli PM at Delhi airport,” the Prime Minister’s Office had tweeted.
The two countries are expected to sign MOUs in several fields including trade and energy.
