K P Sasikala spews venom again, threatens secular writers with death
In a clear case of hate speech, K P Sasikala, the Hindu Aikya Vedi leader, said at Paravur in Ernakulam that secular writers in the country should be very careful. An alleged hate speaker who already has complaints of spreading communal hatred, Sasikala also threatened the writers with the fate of Gauri Lankesh who was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Bengaluru.
Speaking in a public program organised by the Hindu Aikyavedi at Paravur in Ernakulam, K P Sasikala said that the securlar writers in the country should undergo religious rituals for their lifetime to be extended. Otherwise, they will have to face the fate of Gauri Lankesh, she added.
V D Satheeshan, Paravur MLA, has filed a complaint against Sasikala to the DGP, Loknath Behra. Meanwhile, R V Babu, leader of the Hindu Aikya Vedi questioned the validity of the complaint.
“Action will be taken against Sasikala for making the hate speech”, said minister Kadakampalli Surendran. The opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala criticised the government for not taking action against Sasikala. Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan has criticised the statement made by Sasikala in the speech.
