In a move to put the ministers in the state under the scanner, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has reportedly asked his cabinet members to submit a report in order to review their performance. Based on the reports, the chief minister will be evaluating the performance of the ministers in their respective departments.

As per the direction from the chief minister, the ministers will have to fill a special form that will be provided from the Chief Minister’s Office. The new move is in the wake of the LDF government completing its second year in power.

In the form provided from the CMO, the ministers are directed to fill the details of development projects implemented till date, the amount spent for this purpose, details of the projects that are yet to be implemented and the expected time limit of the projects.

The move is aimed at enabling the departments to conduct a self-evaluation regarding the extent to which it has addressed the promises made to the people, the chief minister’s office clarified.
