Fodder scam case: Lalu Prasad Yadav sentenced to three-and-half years in jail

A special CBI court in Ranchi on saturday sentenced former Bihar chief minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav to three and a half years in jail in the fodder scam case.

The sentence was announced by special CBI judge Shivpal Singh after the hearing on the quantum of sentencing was completed. Lalu Prasad also has been slapped with a fine of RS 5 lakh.

On December 23, the CBI court had convicted Lalu and 15 others in the case which is related to the multi-million-rupee scam.
